Cooking with CLO
Cooking with CLO was run over 4 weeks at the Morphett Vale office, as well as the Victor Harbor office.
Over these sessions the goals were to provide clients with information and training in relation to kitchen safety and hygiene, healthy food choices, budgeting and menu planning and a community shopping visit to practice skills learnt over the 4 sessions.
Cooking with CLO also provided clients from different sites with the opportunities for interaction and participation in social activities. Furthermore it offered the opportunities for clients to achieve their developmental and independent living goals for health, education and personal care and safety.
Everyone who participated gave positive feedback about the content in each session and loved cooking the yummy recipes. There has been plenty of interest from other CLO clients to participate in the program when it is next scheduled to run again.
